Team Selections

As we move through the team selection and grading process, we ask for your patience and understanding. These decisions require careful consideration to ensure teams are balanced, competitive, and provide the best possible experience for all students.

During this period, students are encouraged to focus on their effort, attitude, and performance at training and in trial matches, as these play an important role in the selection process. Allowing coaches adequate time to observe and assess players helps ensure selections are fair and well considered.

Team selections for the Black and Green Shield are not final decisions for the upcoming ISA competition. The event provides another valuable opportunity for students to play and for coaches to further assess abilities to ensure the most appropriate placements moving forward.

While we aim to place each student in the environment best suited to their development and enjoyment, we acknowledge that not every outcome will meet individual expectations. During this initial phase, we kindly ask that parents/carers refrain from contacting coaches or MICs regarding selections. If a student has been graded incorrectly, their performances in upcoming matches will provide opportunities for this to be recognised and adjustments made where necessary.

Welcome Mr Brendan Conneely

We welcome Mr Brendan Conneely, the new Assistant Head of Football who will be working within our ever-growing Football Program. Mr Conneely is an SPC Old Boy and has extensive coaching and administration experience both in Australia and internationally. Mr Conneely will work alongside Mr Falzon in our Football Program. You may wish to direct questions to him at brendan.conneely@spc.nsw.edu.au.

ISA Swimming Championships

The SPC Swim Team competed at the Annual ISA Swimming Championships yesterday, Tuesday 17 March. The team performed well against strong competition in Division 1 finishing 8th overall.

There were many strong performances on the day, highlighted by Sebastian N who finished 1st in the 50m Freestyle, Breaststroke and Backstroke. Thank you to the Year 11 students who came to support the team. Thank you to Mr Andrew Brennan, Ms Briellyn Pearson and Mr Chris Gatto for their time and efforts with the Swim Team this season.
