Book Week

Our whole school book character dress-up parade will be at the end of August. 

School holidays are a great time to revisit favourite books and think about who your child may wish to dress up as. 

Children are encouraged to be creative by using items already in the home - no need to spend any money.  If their favourite book is about an everyday kid - then come as that character in ordinary clothes - just be ready with a quote, trinket or information about your current adventure to share with your friends. Children will need to bring their book on the day and a plan for a few short sentences to be shared will be sent home closer to the time. 

As this is a celebration of books and reading, no prizes will be presented for costumes. Don’t overthink it - keep it simple and be prepared. ;) 

PS - younger siblings and preschool friends are also encouraged to attend this event with parents - all of whom are welcome to dress up ;)
