From the Principal's Desk

As we reach the final day of Term 2, I want to take this opportunity to thank our students, staff, and families for another rich and productive term. The mid-year holidays are now upon us, and I hope all members of our school community enjoy a well-earned break filled with rest, joy, and time with loved ones.
A huge congratulations to our Year 2/3 and Year 4/5/6 classes on their recent class assemblies. Each group presented with confidence, creativity, and humour. It was wonderful to see students take the lead in sharing their learning, and to witness the pride they have in their classroom work. Thank you to the teachers and support staff who helped prepare these engaging presentations, and to the families who came along to support them.
In celebration of NAIDOC Week, our students took part in a meaningful excursion to the Ngarigo Reserve. This visit provided an opportunity to connect with Country, learn more about the culture and stories of the traditional custodians of our area. It was a valuable experience for our students, and we thank everyone involved in organising and guiding this learning opportunity.
On Monday and Tuesday this week, we held our student-led conferences. A great deal of effort went into preparing for these sessions, and I want to commend both students and teachers for their hard work. These conferences provided a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their learning, reflect on their progress, and share a special moment with their families. Learning happens not only at school, but also at home, and when school and home work together in partnership, amazing things can happen.
As we pause for the break, I would like to wish all our families a safe, happy, and restful holiday. We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for the exciting second half of the school year.
Yours sincerely
Daniel Francis
Principal
