Holiday Practise

The Concert Bb scale should be perfected ascending, descending, and the divisi section after the repeat. All band pieces, including Advance Australia Fair, should be solid. Frere Jacques has been introduced to all band groups and practised over the holidays. We look forward to hitting the ground running with a new band piece next term. A few groups have extension pieces for more able players; they know who they are.

A huge thank you to Mrs Barclay for allowing piano students to practise their assembly pieces in the classroom the past week. This made for a more positive assembly experience for those who have not been practising at home. Don’t forget that your C major scale should be confident with both separate hands and contrary motion (starting the scale with both hand thumbs on middle C). We look forward to starting next term with new pieces.
