NAIDOC

For NAIDOC Week this year, All Saints' spent part of the day at the Ngarigo reserve on Monday, June 29th. We had a fantastic time connecting with members of the local Indigenous community, including a few Elders who shared their stories and culture with us. It was a privilege to learn directly from the traditional custodians of the area.
The day was filled with great hands-on activities. We got to paint rocks, learning how art is used to tell stories and connect with the land. We also had a go at making traditional bush biscuits, which was a fun way to experience a taste of Indigenous tradition. One of the most interesting parts of the day was learning all about different Indigenous weapons, understanding not just how they were made, but their importance in both hunting and ceremony. It was a really memorable day that gave everyone a much deeper appreciation for the history and living culture of our First Peoples.
