This term, Year 5 is embarking on a unique Lenten journey titled The Desert Experience. Rather than simply giving up something, our students are exploring the deep connection between the Lenten pillars of Prayer, Fasting, and Almsgiving and the principles of Catholic Social Teaching (CST).

We will explore this through:

  • The Desert & Human Dignity: Learning to quiet the "noise" of modern life to rediscover that every person is a priceless masterpiece created by God.
  • Metanoia (The U-Turn): Moving beyond saying "sorry" to actually changing our hearts—turning "hearts of stone" into "hearts of flesh" through Solidarity.

The True Fast: Looking at the Prophet Isaiah’s call to "break the chains of injustice." Students are challenged to make their fasts active by choosing the Option for the Poor.
