Rugby League Clinic
On Tuesday 17 March, a rugby league clinic was held for Year 7 and 8 students, funded by the sporting school grant. The participants were divided into boys' and girls' sessions to enhance student engagement. Students learned new skills and participated in game-based competitions that encompassed both rugby league and general sports skills. A special thank you goes to the NRL development officers for their support!
Inclusive Sports
Well done to our students who participated in the Inclusive Sports Come-and-Try Athletics Day in Lismore on 17 March. This program provides students with a valuable opportunity to engage in athletics within a fun and non-competitive atmosphere. All students had the chance to compete in various track races and field events, promoting both enjoyment and skill development. It was a great day filled with fun and learning. Thank you to Ms Olive and Ms Risson for taking them!
Northwest Swimming
On March 10, students participated in the North West Swimming Trials held in Armidale. We extend our congratulations to the winning teams, which include the 14-year-old girls' relay, the open girls' medley relay, the 17-year-old girls' relay, the 15-year-old boys' relay, and the open boys' medley relay, all of whom have advanced to the Sydney competition in Term 2. Additionally, we commend Katie, Reagan, Pip, Tayah, Alex, Blair, and Beau for successfully qualifying for Sydney in their individual events.
