Principals Report

Ms Stephanie Scott

Welcome to our bumper newsletter for the term! My apologies — we usually try to publish two newsletters per term, but it has been such a busy one that we haven’t had the time. So please enjoy this extra-large edition!

It was lovely to see so many families celebrate our first formal assembly last week. Congratulations to all award recipients and our new SRC representatives. Well done to our students for an excellent start to the year—in terms of attendance and behaviour, it has been the best start we have ever had, with improved attendance and a significant reduction in negative behaviours and suspensions. Many students have already achieved Bronze level and are well on their way to achieving Silver level.

This term, we had extremely successful swimming and cross-country carnivals, as well as numerous sporting opportunities. In addition, we ran our first-ever Stage 5 Sydney excursion, which was a great success! I was lucky enough to be in Sydney for a principals’ conference and met up with students and staff at the Aquarium, just after they had completed their bridge climb, which was definitely one of the trip’s highlights. I am very proud that we are able to provide these excellent opportunities to our students.

Well done to our superstar Year 12s who recently made it onto Weekend Breakfast Sunrise! It was a really fun morning fundraising for the Year 12 formal and showcasing our fantastic school. A reminder that parent-teacher interviews for Years 12 and 11 are early next term. Information about bookings will be published at the beginning of next term.

Thank you, everyone, for a fantastic term. I hope you all have a well-earned and safe holiday, and we look forward to another great term of learning and opportunities.
