Stage 5 Sydney Excursion

Stage 5 Sydney Excursion – 23 to 26 February

40 Stage 5 students embarked on an unforgettable four-day excursion to Sydney, immersing themselves in the city’s rich culture, history, and iconic landmarks. This experience was designed to broaden students’ understanding of Australia’s heritage, environment, and civic institutions, while encouraging teamwork and creating lasting memories.

Sydney Tower Eye

Our adventure began with a visit to the Sydney Tower Eye, the tallest structure in Sydney. Students soared up to the observation deck 250 metres above the city, enjoying panoramic 360-degree views that stretched beyond the harbour. This spectacular vantage point provided an engaging way to appreciate Sydney’s layout and landmarks from above, sparking curiosity and discussion about urban geography and architecture.

The tour highlighted the area’s convict heritage, early settlement stories, and the evolution of Sydney from a penal colony to a vibrant modern city. Students explored heritage buildings, laneways, and markets while learning about the lives of early settlers and Indigenous connections to the land.
