Deputy Principal Staff and Students Report

Nazareth Community

The longer I am in the Nazareth Community, the more blessed I feel with the wonderful people that make up our community. One of the most significant ways we celebrate our Nazareth Community is with Nazareth Day.  As we look forward to next week,  we will be having a whole School Mass at 9.45 am on Monday 9 September 2024, to give thanks to God for the great gift of our community and to ask His continued blessing on the Nazareth Community. Parents/Guardians/Carers and families are invited to join us for the Mass. We are blessed to have Bishop Anthony Ireland coming to celebrate Mass with us. Bishop Ireland has been to Nazareth on a number of occasions and is very fond of our community. We look forward to welcoming Bishop Ireland.

On Thursday 12 September 2024,  our community takes a day off from our normal lessons to celebrate our community. The day involves a whole School Assembly with a special focus on awards for student achievement, especially the prestigious Faith, Wisdom and Knowledge awards that students can only receive once during their time at Nazareth. Following the Nazareth Day Assembly, there  will be free time with stalls, rides, amusements, animal zoo, food vans and different fun activities. The day concludes with the Nazareth Talent Quest where students have the opportunity to sign up and showcase their talents in front of the whole community. The day is always great and a highlight of the Nazareth calendar. We look forward to celebrating together.

Child Safety

We continue to work on Child Safety. A part of the work of the Child Safety Team is the ongoing development of the Child Risk Register. This document asks us as a school to consider the different risks to Child Safety in our community and to list the steps we are taking to mitigate this risk. If any students or Parents/Guardians/Carers become aware of any risks or mitigation strategies that could assist our Child Safety Risk Register please let me know.

Last Weeks of Term 3

As we come to the last couple of weeks of term, it is time for students to be working on the virtue of perseverance and keep working hard until the end of the term.  We ask students to continue to work hard at school and home so they can further their growth and development during the last days of term.
