Principal's Report
Dear Parents, Guardians and Friends of Nazareth
As we approach the end of the term it is time to reflect on the past few weeks, give credit where it is due and address areas that need improving.
Generally, the students' feedback is extremely positive. Their learning, engagement and relationships with the staff are favourable. Resources and facilities are at their best, and after such a comprehensive subject selection process we are well into our 2025 planning.
The College is currently interviewing potential teaching and non-teaching personnel and it is our hope to offer new appointments in Term 4 of this year. I urge everyone to support our staff in our endeavour to maintain our positive culture of behavioural and overall expectations. Together we can all make a difference.
Next week, on Monday 9 September, Year 12 VCE-VM student Stefan Milisavljevic, has organised a community cook off in conjunction with the NCCA and our College Food Technology Department. The cook off is from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm and the food produced will be donated to families in need. If you are interested in assisting please email angie.palmer@nazareth.vic.edu.au indicating your willingness to attend.
Monday will also see us celebrating our Nazareth Day Mass which will be led by Bishop Anthony Ireland. Bishop Tony is a regular visitor to Nazareth and we are assured, that in his usual manner, he will inspire our students to continue to do great work in our community.
Thursday will be a day of festivities as the College celebrates Nazareth Day. We have many fantastic rides, stalls and activities planned for the day. Each House will utilise this celebration day to raise needed funds for their House charity. Students are expected to donate $3 for casual clothes, and bring extra money to spend on the stalls and food. There will also be a whole school assembly and the annual Talent Quest.
We hope that the weather will be kind to us on the day and that we all have a wonderful time.
God Bless.
Mr Sam Cosentino
Principal
