MACSSIS Survey

In 2024, our school is once again participating in Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools – School Improvement Surveys (MACSSIS). MACSSIS is an annual process whereby schools listen to the thoughts and feelings students, families and staff have about how their school can improve. These surveys help inform the ongoing improvement of schools across the Archdiocese of Melbourne.

One of the main goals of the survey is to identify the strengths and areas for improvement in our school. MACSSIS data benefits everyone within our school and provides valuable community insights on areas that each school can focus on. Our school believes it is important to encourage families to have a voice and contribute to shaping the ongoing improvement of the school.

The survey is available online, and can be accessed from Monday 2 September and needs to be completed by Friday 20 September 2024. This survey may only be completed once. All students and teachers will complete the survey and a randomly selected group of parents will be asked to contribute. An email has been sent to selected parents. If you do not receive an email, but you would like to contribute to the survey, please email me at the College Claire.nailon@nazareth.vic.edu

Year 7 to 10 Student Progress Interviews

The Mid Semester Reports for Years 7 to 11 students will available on PAM on Tuesday 3 September. The reports provide a snapshot of student work habits for this term.  Continuous Reporting means that parents can already access detailed feedback on their child’s academic progress through the Learning Areas section of PAM.

For valuable, detailed discussion of your child’s progress, Year 7 to 10 teachers will be available by appointment on Tuesday 17 September and Thursday 19 September for the Years 7 to 10 Student Progress Interviews.  Details for bookings appointments via PAM will be provided via email. The meetings will be held on Zoom. While we encourage communication between parents and teachers throughout the semester, this evening provides a vital chance for all parents take advantage of the opportunity to discuss areas for improvement and for ensuring future success by making appointments with all subject teachers.  This will be particularly important for any parents who may have questions about pathways and promotions concerns for their child for 2025.

For Year 12 VCE students, the final school-based report will be available on PAM in the third week of Term 4.
