Celebrating Languages Week

Languages Week is held in August every year and is designed to raise awareness of the benefits of language and highlight the linguistic diversity in our community.

Here at St Joseph’s College, we appreciate and embrace diversity, and Languages Week is one way we celebrate our recognition of people coming from various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Brigidine Campus showcased a wonderful Library display last week, and through the excellent organisation from Ms George, engaged in a variety of Italian-based activities, as this is our selected curriculum language at St Joseph’s.

Celebrating Science Week

This week, we are celebrating National Science Week! The school theme for National Science Week in 2023 is Innovation: Powering Future Industries. The theme incorporates the advancement in technology in all industries, especially using artificial intelligence (AI). As always, our libraries love to embrace all things academic.

LITERACY WEEK- AUGUST 21-25!

Our Kildare and Brigidine libraries have a range of engaging activities planned for our wonderful students at St Joes. We encourage everyone to check out the daily list of activities facilitated  by our fantastic librarians, and join in the fun of Literacy Week. Please come see your librarians at the circulation desk to book into the planned activities (See event planner below). 

SPECIAL LIT WEEK EVENT

AUGUST 25th

Join us at lunchtime for a special online event.  Get ready to be amazed as we chat with a true stuntman from your favourite action-packed blockbuster movies. Shea has been bringing movie magic to life for 30 awesome years. From wild car chases to incredible battles, he’s done it all, making your favourite heroes look super cool. Join us for an interview packed with fun stories, crazy adventures, and a peek into the world of epic movie stunts. See the library to book your place and ask your personal question for Shea to answer.  Friday 25 August at lunchtime.
