Principal's Report 

At St Joseph’s College, quality learning is our core business, where the pursuit of individual excellence is paramount. Positive attitudes and good behaviour are two key ingredients to a successful learning environment. We encourage working in partnership with families to ensure this is the experience of all students in their classrooms. When this is not the case, please be aware that parents/carers will be contacted, and a discussion will occur where various options will be discussed. If a student is impacting negatively on other students’ learning or teachers' ability to teach, it is considered a serious breach of our core values and aims. We will work in partnership with families to find suitable outcomes.

As a College we congratulated the recent success of many of our students, some on the sporting fields and others in the sphere of academic success. We always encourage all students to be the best versions of themselves.

Recently the College has installed a new telephone system and as always with something new, there have been a few hiccups along the way. I apologise for any inconvenience this has caused. The system seems to be well and truly up and running now. This new system has given us the opportunity to provide direct telephone numbers to a series of key areas and personnel in the College. 

We will provide a directory of direct telephone numbers to our community both in this newsletter and via our Compass portal.  This will enable families and members of the community to contact staff directly rather than going via Reception. Each area also has a messaging service.
