Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,
We are very pleased to offer a wonderful opportunity over the coming weeks for our families and students to attend either in-person or online sessions with Educational Neuroscientist, Dr Jared Cooney Horvath. All sessions are the same whether you attend online or in-person at either St. Joseph's Cobram, St. Joseph's Numurkah, or SMOTA.
ORIMA Survey - Win a $500 Coles/Myer Voucher
These surveys play a vital role in helping us better understand perceptions of the school environment and learning experiences across our system. The feedback collected informs both school-level planning and broader system improvement.
The ORIMA surveys are independently managed, confidential, and evidence-based. They provide valid insights across key domains aligned with our school improvement goals. By increasing participation this year, we strengthen our collective understanding and ability to respond meaningfully to the needs of our communities.
To make it even more worthwhile, all participants will go into the draw to win a $500 Coles/Myer voucher. We need a minimum of 50 completed surveys for the prize draw to go ahead – so your input truly counts!
As the survey is anonymous, to enter the draw, you’ll need to do one of the following after completing the survey:
- Email us a screenshot of the last page to: info@sjcobram.catholic.edu.au or
- Bring a photo or print a copy of the final survey page to the school office to enter the draw.
This will serve as confirmation of your completed entry.
Your voice helps shape the future of our school community. Please take a few moments to complete the survey and encourage others to do the same. A letter will be sent home next week with a link.
School Supervision: We have had an increase in the number of students being dropped off before school as early as 8:05 am.
Before School Drop off
We have observed an increasing number of students being dropped off before 8:30 AM at various school entrances. Please be reminded that student supervision does not begin until the gates open at 8:30 AM. For the safety and well-being of all students, we kindly ask that drop-offs occur no earlier than 8:30 AM.
Thank you
Sarah Iddles
