Easter Service

On Monday, our whole school community, students, staff, and parent guests, gathered to celebrate our Easter Service. This was wonderfully supported by our Junior Singers, who performed This Is Amazing Grace, celebrating our theme, Forgiveness Brings Joy. We explored and reflected on the story of Jesus through singing, hearing God’s Word, and praying together.

 

Our student leaders guided us beautifully through the events of Holy Week, and we were also able to present the gifts collected through our Lent Food Drive, which will be donated to support our local community.

Lent Food Drive

This week, our Lent Food Drive donations were on their way to our community! Thank you to all students and families who were able to donate, sharing their compassion and kindness with Echuca Neighbourhood House and the Barmah Food Shack. Years 7–10 focused on non-perishable items, and Years 11–12 on condiments and pet food (for the often-forgotten pets of those in need, who provide valuable friendship).

Christ Church Anglican Echuca

There is always an open invitation for our community at the Anglican Church. Here are the Easter services if you would like to join in the events of Holy Week and celebrate the love of God for the world through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.

 

Maundy Thursday

 

  • 6:00 PM: Holy Communion with optional symbolic foot washing

 

Good Friday

 

  • 9:00 AM: Liturgy of the Cross. A solemn service.
  • 11:00 AM: Walk of Witness. Begins at the Uniting Church, Hare Street, Echuca, and makes its way to the Anglican Church, the Catholic Church, and returns to the Uniting Church, where morning tea and hot cross buns will be available. All welcome.

 

Easter Sunday

 

  • 8:30 AM: Holy Communion
  • 10:30 AM: Easter Family Service
