What's Happening in the Busy Mandarin Room This Week:
Grade 1/2 students are participating in an engaging activity where they cut out 12 clock faces, arrange them in order from 1 to 12 o'clock, and glue them onto a sheet. Under each clock face, they write the corresponding time in pinyin, the phonetic system for Chinese.
Foundation students have been learning the names of various fruits over the past two weeks. They enjoy practicing the names of their favorite fruits in Chinese and can pronounce them quite well. Soon, they will use these fruit names to form short sentences, combining them with color and family words they learned in previous terms.
