Principal's Report

Dear SEPS Families,
These past two weeks have flown by given the short Cup Week.
SEPS Social
A very big thankyou once again to our SEPS Social team for organising Movie Night. We even had our new 2026 Preps along earlier in the afternoon to join us for their very own session. I popped in to watch Paddington Bear for a bit and everyone seemed very comfy with their pillows and snacks. It was a great opportunity to celebrate our awesome new LED screen in the gym, thanks to the fundraising efforts of SEPS Social and our wonderful community! Make sure you look out for the fabulous upcoming event that has been planned for our SEPS parents.
Calendar
Only 41 more sleeps until Christmas and we still have so much to do. Our final 5 weeks is crammed with activities and events, so please keep an eye on the calendar so that you don’t miss anything. Our Year 5 campers returned from Sovereign Hill this afternoon after a fabulous 3 days away. We have two more prep transition sessions coming up, our Yr 5 boys are attending the ‘Big Day In’ science expo, Netball clinics are happening for Yr 3 & 4, staff have a curriculum day to plan for 2026, the beach swimming program is running for the senior school Yr 6, Graduation is planned for 11 Dec and we have our final celebration assembly and celebration evening at the end of the term. Amongst all of that, teachers are still teaching and students are still learning, assessments are underway, and reports are being prepared for the end-of-year reporting cycle.
Food Drive
We have a wonderful partnership with Lions Club and cherish opportunities to give back, after all the support they provide to our families and community throughout the year. Once again, we would like to run a food drive to support them in supporting another local charity, BayCISS. We know firsthand that the food we collect goes directly back into our local community at a time of year that can be difficult for many. You will find full details later in this newsletter. Hopefully, we can gather enough items to really make a difference this year.
Have a wonderful fortnight ahead.
Jane Briffa
