Our Prep STEAM Innovators will explore several different fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths, each promising a unique and different experience. Students will first be introduced to the concept of the ‘Innovator’s Mindset’ and the skills and attributes needed to be an effective engineer. Then will come a wealth of activities to expose them to the different disciplines of STEAM, including creating balloon rockets, rudimentary block coding and LEGO challenges, which will ensure every lesson in Prep is a memorable one!

In Robotics Innovation, our Prep students will be exploring the exciting world of coding using Bee-Bots and Botzees Minis. Through hands-on activities, students are learning to give simple step-by-step instructions and develop their problem-solving skills. They will explore working collaboratively by navigating Bee-Bots to build, code and bring their creations to life. Students are also developing important teamwork skills by collaborating with their peers, sharing ideas, taking turns, and supporting one another to solve challenges. Alongside these skills, they are learning how to use and care for technology responsibly by handling the robotics equipment with respect and following safe classroom expectations.
