Art and Technologies: Semester 1 Wrap 

What an incredible semester it has been for our Art & Technologies students!

Throughout Semester 1, students have immersed themselves in a diverse range of creative and innovative learning experiences across Visual Arts, Visual Communication Design, Digital Technologies, Food Technology, and Design & Technologies.

Our students have embraced challenges, developed new technical skills, explored exciting materials, and built confidence in expressing their ideas. From imaginative artworks and industrial designs to coding projects, 3D-printed creations, delicious dishes, and innovative products, it has been wonderful to see creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving on display. 

Our VCE students have continued to impress with their commitment to developing sophisticated folios and responding thoughtfully to the design and artmaking process. Through research, experimentation, refinement, and thoughtful reflection, they have strengthened both their technical abilities and their creative voices. VCE Students also had the opportunity to visit the Top Arts  and Top Designs exhibitions, gaining valuable insight and creative practice while gathering inspiration for their own work.

We are incredibly proud of the effort, resilience, and enthusiasm shown by all of our students this semester. Their willingness to challenge themselves, embrace feedback, and celebrate each other's successes is what makes our Art & Technologies community such a vibrant and inspiring place to learn.

As students begin thinking about future pathways and subject selections, we encourage families to chat with them about the units they've enjoyed most this semester. With a broad range of creative and practical subjects on offer, there are so many exciting opportunities for students to discover their passions and continue developing their skills. It's one of the many things that makes Strathmore Secondary College such a special place.

A huge thank you to the dedicated Art & Technologies teachers for their commitment, encouragement, and unwavering support of our students throughout Semester 1.

We wish all our students and families a safe, relaxing, and well-deserved break.
