Year One Fun has Begun

Year 1 Mini Met Art World

Following our excursion to METARTWORLD last week, the Year 1 students had the opportunity to design and create their own robots, drawing inspiration from the artworks and experiences they encountered during the excursion.

Students were encouraged to use a range of recycled and everyday materials brought from home, including boxes, foil, bottles and other creative resources. They enjoyed painting and decorating their boxes, adding unique details and features to make their robots both imaginative and exciting.

Once their robots were completed, the students participated in a reflection discussion, identifying one aspect of their robot that they would like to change or improve. They were then given the opportunity to make their chosen modification.

The students thoroughly enjoyed this creative and hands-on learning experience. It was wonderful to see their creativity, imagination and problem-solving skills shine through in the wide variety of unique robots they created.
