August is all about basketball!
Basketball fever has taken over Pakenham Secondary College this August, with our Intermediate Boys and Girls, Year 8 Boys, and Year 7 Boys and Girls teams representing the College in interschool competitions.
It’s been an exciting month of competition, with some fantastic results. Our Intermediate Boys B Team placed a strong third, while the A Team advanced to the grand final, narrowly missing out on the top spot in a close match.
What stood out most was the way our students conducted themselves – with respect, determination, and pride. They have been phenomenal representatives of our College, giving their all and showing great sportsmanship throughout the competitions.
We would also like to acknowledge our wonderful student helpers, who supported the teams throughout the competitions. Their enthusiasm, leadership and encouragement were appreciated by both staff and players.

Pakenham Warriors Basketball Development Program launches in Term 4 for Year 7 students - Register now
Pakenham Secondary College is excited to continue our partnership with the Pakenham Warriors Basketball Team to bring students an energetic and high-impact Basketball Program – now exclusively for Year 7 students!
A UNIQUE (AND FREE!) OPPORTUNITY JUST FOR YEAR 7 STUDENTS
Starting in Term 4, 2025, this exciting program offers boys and girls in Year 7 the chance to train with a professional coach and championship player from the Pakenham Warriors – at no cost. Each week, our coach will visit the College to run tailored training sessions designed to build skills, teamwork and confidence on the court.

Time: 7:45am – 8:30am
Location: Pakenham Secondary College Gymnasium
What to Bring: Runners and a water bottle
