Year 3 & Year 4

Stage 2 have had a busy end to Term 3 with the Public Speaking Competition and the Science Excursion to the University of Wollongong. Students had so much fun at the Science Space where there were lots of interactive exhibits to explore and experience. We also had students representing SSPS at the Zone Athletics Carnival and the Tournament of Minds Regional Finals. It is always so wonderful to see our amazing, talented and creative students represent our school at various events.

We love staying active in Stage 2! A few Year 3 students have joined the Year 2s this term with the intensive swimming program at Enfield Pool. PSSA Cricket, T-ball/Softball and Touch Football have also started again and will continue next term. Students that don’t attend PSSA either participate in Tennis with external coaches from FX Tennis who come in to teach them new skills, or enjoy school sport with the remainder of their classmates. We are so lucky to have access to different types of sports equipment and to have large open spaces like our 3-6 COLA, Multi-Purpose Courts and Grass areas at our school!

Stage 2 Science Excursion

Zone Athletics Carnival

“My experience of Zone was a mix of feelings. I found it very fun but a bit worrying as well. It was like a big weight of the school was on my teeny shoulders but it was very fun to be racing against other different schools. I’m so proud because the Girls Junior Relay team came 3rd place!” - Mumtahina 4/3Y

“It was fun, I got into 100m, 200m, Highjump and also the Relay race.” Abdul 4/3Y

“Zone was so fun!  I got into Discus and I came 14th and threw 15m. Also, the person that won Discus threw 23m!” - Will 4/3Y

“It was super fun. I made the 1500m, 100m, 200m, Long Jump, Shotput and 800m races so I was very busy. I came 1st in the 1500m and 2nd in the 800m. I was so happy and proud!” - Malik 4/3Y
