Tournament of Minds

Every year, we are in absolute AWE of how hard our Tournament of Minds students work and this year was no exception! It has been a very busy term for these students, with our 3 STEM groups designing an innovative device to solve the very real-world problem of environmental pollution and our Arts group initiating an interview with Mrs Papadis (and sharing the inside scoop on what made her the principal that she is today). These self-driven learners deserve a huge congratulations and so do their parents for supporting their journey and spending last Sunday at the Sydney East Regional Finals.

“We really enjoyed Tournament of Minds this year because we made amazing new friends throughout the seven weeks. We also had a great experience representing our school. The Arts group learnt an extraordinary Greek dance from our inspiring School Principal, Ms Papadis.” - Aqeela, Arielle and Harini 4/3Y

Public Speaking

Students from Kindergarten to Year 6 have enthusiastically participated in our annual Public Speaking Competition.

Students effectively communicated their speeches with confidence and clarity, entertaining the audience and allowing them to imagine, learn, dream and ponder. Oral language and communication forms a crucial component of the English syllabus focusing on speaking and listening to build understanding to make meaning in both verbal and non verbal communication. Thank you to the families who have supported this class learning program.

Congratulations to all our school finalists in this year's Public Speaking Competition for their exceptional speeches. Each student informed, persuaded and entertained the audience. They have continued to set a high standard in the arena of public speaking.

Our 2024 overall stage finalists include Amara Fahda  (Early Stage 1), Lylah Muralikrishna (Stage 1), Jacinta Chan (Stage 2) and Brandon Khanh (Stage 3). These students will  be representing our school at the Strathfield Canterbury Network Finals in early Term 4.
