Ms Yingna Ke and Ms Jane Zhou

This term, students have been actively learning new vocabulary and cultural concepts in Chinese. Stage 1 students explored the differences between Chinese and Australian schools, learning vocabulary related to school objects and facilities. They also practised introducing different school areas during a school walk. Students are now working hard on designing a school map and label them in Chinese and English.

Stage 2 students are diving into the world of seasons and weather. They’ve been expanding their vocabulary by learning about the different seasons, seasonal activities, clothing, and how to describe weather conditions. They are now working on weather forecast posters and crafting a “clothing rack” to represent seasonal outfits.

In Stage 3, students are learning vocabulary related to the different rooms and features of a house. They’re currently applying their knowledge to the exciting “Dream House” project, where they get to design their own dream house.

Withdrawal students were celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival by making paper lanterns on Friday Week 8 - check out their wonderful work!

We’re excited about the students' progress and look forward to more great learning in Term 4!
