Music at McCarthy Catholic College
Our school has a vibrant music program which encourages inclusion from all students regardless of their experience or family background. We offer musical experiences on many instruments and have ensembles which cater to a large range of musical interests. Our ensembles include:
- Choir - for all singers who would like to make music as part of a large vocal ensemble.
- Concert Band - for experienced musicians playing Woodwind, Brass, Percussion and String instruments.
- Junior Band - for beginning instrumentalists who are developing their ensemble skills.
- Woodwind and Brass Ensembles - for woodwind and brass musicians who would like to further develop their skills.
- Rock Bands - for anyone who would like support to form their own rock band.
In addition, McCarthy Catholic College hosts tutors from the Tamworth Regional Conservatorium of Music, who come to the college each week to deliver lessons on guitar, piano, bass guitar and voice.
