Harmony Week:
Harmony Week is a week where we focus on inclusion and making sure 'Everyone Belongs', particularly from a cultural perspective. Harmony week is celebrated from the 16th to the 20th March. At school we will be having 'Harmony Day' on the 20th March. Our cultural captains Mav and Zeke have been busy planning how we will celebrate Harmony Day and have the following plans:
On Friday the 20th March all students and staff are invited to wear a splash of orange.
PBS groups will be taking part in a 'Where did this food originate from' game and then participating in a colouring competition. Mav and Zeke will then judge winners for each grade level and present them with a prize at assembly.

Student Representative Council (SRC):
Our SRC have had their first official meeting where they looked at how they are going to work together as a team and their 'Why' for wanting to be on SRC.
The first order of business was to provide a student suggestion box. SRC have decided to use the red post box we have on a stand and run a competition for students to decorate the box. Our School Captains and Vice Captains (Oakley, Harla, Ayla and Brianna) have made a video to explain the student suggestion box. This will be shared with all grades. Zel and Lilly have made a competition page for student entries on ideas to decorate the Student Suggestion box.
School Council Elections:
Congratulations to our newest parent members of School Council and thank you for willingness to be on the team that oversees school policies and decisions - Erin Hopkins and Bianca Bevege-Hopkins. Our next School Council meeting will be on Wednesday March 18th at 6pm. At this time, we still have 2 vacant parent positions on School Council so please speak to me if you are interested. Caleb Rennie has joined School Council as a new DET representative. I would like to thank both Jaala Miller and Tara Trewin for their contribution to School Council for the last two years.
Late Arrivals and Early pick ups:
If you need to drop your child off late or collect them early, please ensure this is done through the school office. We would also ask that arriving late or leaving early is limited to unavoidable circumstances such as medical appointments. Arriving late and leaving early is disruptive to the learning environment and means that your child is missing out on learning time.
School Uniform:
In line with our school uniform policy, students should be wearing white, navy blue or black socks. Please keep special socks for weekends and crazy sock days. If you need support with school uniforms this can be requested through the school office or our wellbeing Leading Teacher.
Change of staffing:
For the remainder of this term, Ms Amie Parker - our Leading Teacher (DI and Wellbeing)- is taking part in a leadership program where she has the opportunity to work with the leadership of another school. In her absence, Mr Caleb Rennie will be our Acting Leading Teacher (DI and Wellbeing). Congratulations to both Amie and Caleb on your appointment to these opportunities provided by the department.
