SUCCESS!

We have such exciting news! We received word this week that our school has been successful in our application to be part of the LitUp program in 2027! This means we are one of only 31 communities across QLD and NSW who will be supported in bringing writing to life through in-person visits from authors/ illustrators. 

The program provides funding and training to support the delivery of community-led live literature events – with a particular focus on rural and regional areas.

LitUp helps communities overcome social, geographic and financial barriers that prevent them from hosting events with authors, supporting them to bring the benefits of reading and live literature to their area. 

Participating organisations are based in Queensland and New South Wales, and their events will run between February–June 2027.

As always, the library is open most lunch times and students can return and borrow books then.
