Recount Writing - Excursion to Werribee Zoo 

On Monday we went to the Werribee Open Range Zoo. First, we went on a safari bus. I saw bison, giraffes, hippos, rhinos and zebras. Next, we saw the gorillas, cheetahs, African wild dogs and the lions. Finally, we went to the monkeys and the Australian bush trail. I saw kangaroos, emus, snakes and lizards. Then we saw the meerkats

On Monday my year level went to Werribee Zoo. First, we walked to the safari bus. On the safari bus I saw camels, giraffes, rhinos, wild horses, antelopes, bison and a cheeky ostrich called Zazu who stopped the safari bus because she was in the middle of the road. We did a loop around the course, then we had lunch. After lunch, we saw lions, cheetahs, hippos, gorillas, wild dogs and monkeys. Later we went on the Australian trail. On the Australian trail we saw koalas, kangaroos, emus and wallabies. Finally, we saw the meerkats. I wanted to keep a meerkat. At last, we hopped on the bus and went back to school. It was so hot at the zoo, and I was so glad to be in a nice cold room I had so much fun at Werribee Zoo.

On Monday we went to Werribee Zoo. First, we went on the safari bus, and I saw a baby rhino. On the safari bus there was a cheeky ostrich on the road. We had to wait for them to move. Then we went to the gorillas, and it was so much fun. My favourite animal was the meerkat. It was so hot, and I was tired.

On Monday, I went to the zoo, and it was so fun. First, I went on the bus at 9.00am. When we arrived at the zoo we went to the safari bus. I saw camels, giraffes, ostriches, rhinos, hippos and the meerkats at the end. In the middle of the day, we had lunch and then we put our bags in lockers. My favourite animal was the hippopotamus because they made a dog noise and when they went underwater you couldn’t see them. Then they popped up and they were next to each other. Then we went on the bus and watched a movie. The movie was Despicable Me. It took an hour and a half to get back to school. Finally, it was home time and the very next day I had my chocolate out of my twenty-four-day calendar.

On Monday I went to Werribee Zoo with my whole class. First at 9.00am we set off on the movie bus. I didn’t get to watch the movie because I was at the front and the front TV wasn’t working. When we got to the zoo, first we sat down for a little bit and ate some food. After that our class went in the safari bus. I saw 7 giraffes, hippos and zebras. We also saw a cheeky ostrich and my 9th favourite was the antelope and wild horse. I also saw a bison. After the ride we saw a cheetah and gorilla. We saw a crazy cat, a hippo, monkeys, wild dogs and lions. Then we went in the reptile room and I saw a brown snake. Then we had lunch. After that we saw more animals. We saw a koala and a meerkat.

On Monday 2nd December, the year ones went to Werribee Zoo. First, we went to the safari bus and we had a little bit of our recess. Then we went on the safari bus and we saw the zebras, giraffes, rhinos, bison, camels and wild horses. Next, we had lunch. OK, back to the animals and we saw the gorillas. They had 3 gorillas! Then we saw the cheetah. It was really hard to see because it was so hot. When we went to the hippos, they were making weird noises. Then we saw the lions. There were 6 lions, and they were really cool.
