Miss Bustard
What a wonderfully busy few weeks we have had in Class 5/6! The children have settled into a brilliant rhythm of learning, curiosity, and teamwork across all subjects. Here is a snapshot of what we have been getting up to:

We have been diving deep into the art of literary description, focusing heavily on uplevelling our word choices to make our writing more engaging and vivid for the reader. The students have shown fantastic creativity in our recent cold writes as part of our ongoing assessment. It has been brilliant to see them apply these new techniques independently!
In mathematics, we have been exploring different ways to multiply, looking beyond traditional methods to understand the why behind the numbers. Through targeted rotations, the children have also been engaging in retrieval practice, revisiting past learning to strengthen their mathematical foundations and build confidence for more complex concepts.
Our science lessons have literally been shaking things up as we investigate earthquakes and tsunamis. The children have shown incredible collaboration, conducting independent research and holding thoughtful group discussions to understand the science behind these powerful natural phenomena.

Sporting Highlights: Netball was a wonderful success over in Tamworth, with our team showing great sportsmanship and resilience. Closer to home, the children have also been loving our Friday basketball practice, burning off some energy and expanding their teamwork skills.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support at home. Have a wonderful fortnight ahead!
