HSC Drama, Music and Visual Arts
Our HSC Drama, Music and Visual Arts students have a busy few weeks ahead of them, with submission and external marking of major works fast approaching.
Visual Arts students will submit their bodies of work on Monday 31st August, with Drama practical projects being marked on the same day. For Drama, students are required to present a group project which has been developed in class with peers, alongside an individual project in which students may choose to prepare a monologue, costume or set design, video project or other creative project. Music students will present their practical projects on 16th September, with students preparing combinations of performances and musicology presentations.
HSC Creative Arts students will publicly showcase their efforts at our annual HSC Showcase, “Work in Progress” which will be held in the Rosary Theatre on 20th August at 6pm.
Music Ensembles in Action
It is also a busy time for our musical ensembles, with several public performances occurring in coming weeks. Our choir will be supporting our school events with performances at the NAIDOC assembly on the 19th August and the St. Dominic Mass on the 25th August. Parents will have the chance to hear their incredible talents at the Father’s Day breakfast on 3rd September, when they perform alongside the Concert Band. The Band will be in action once again at the St. Nicholas Parish Picnic on the 30th August, where they may well present a mobile performance aboard one of the miniature trains as they did last year!
