NAPLAN
NAPLAN results for Year 7 and Year 9 students have been sent home with your child. Please take a moment to review the report together and contact the school if you have any questions.
Year 12 Trial Exams
Our Year 12 students have officially finished their Trial Exams. The results will help refine the final weeks of revision and preparation for the HSC which begins on Tuesday, October 13.
HSC Examinations
Close on the completion of the Trial examinations, HSC submission and marking begins for students in practical subjects. Best wishes to students in:
- Dance on the 17th August
- Drama on the 31st August
- Industrial Technology on 1st September
- Chinese Beginners on 2nd September
- Japanese Beginners on 3rd September
French Beginners on 8th September
NESA is yet to advise when markers will visit for Visual Art and Music.
Post Year 10 Transition
Preparations and support for Post Year 10 pathways for all students continue with interviews to discuss next individual steps being held in Weeks 5 and 6. Once these interviews are complete and all adjustments have been made, Mr Whitton and Mrs Sparke will begin construction of the 2027 timetable. Students with potential clashes in the line structure will be consulted if their reserve choice is also problematic.
Early Entry - important due dates
Applications for Early Entry at UNE - Round 1 have now been processed. Applications for consideration in Round 2 are due by September 14, 2026. Students applying for consideration at SCU should note that these are due by 30 September, 2026. The closing date for UON applications is September 3. SRS applications are due by the 11th September, 2026.
Notice for Year 10 Parents: Upcoming Exams
Please be advised that Year 10 exams will take place next term, running from October 20th to October 23rd. (Week 2)
Further details regarding exam timetables, locations, and preparation advice will be shared closer to the date. Thank you for supporting your children as they prepare for these assessment tasks.
