ART FOR ALL: Friday 28 – Sunday 30 August

Welcome to Term 3, which means ART FOR ALL is just around the corner. If you haven't already put it on the calendar, make sure you write it in now: August 28 – August 30!

 

For those who haven't attended before, here’s what you can look forward to across ART FOR ALL weekend:

  • Friday evening: Gallery is open for preview night. Drinks available at the bar.
  • Saturday: Check out our Gallery during the day. 
  • Saturday night: Join all the fun of Gala Night – enjoy amazing canapés, art and music.
  • Sunday is Family Fair Day: All your favourites back by popular demand – ArtZone, Makers Market, disco, rides, live music, delicious food and more!

Special Gala Night Guest - Shaun Tan

This year we have a special guest speaker joining us at Gala Night – Shuan Tan.

“Shaun Tan grew up in Perth and works as an artist, writer and filmmaker in Melbourne. He is best known for illustrated books in a variety of styles combining surrealist imagery and social commentary, widely translated throughout the world and enjoyed by readers of all ages. Shaun is the recipient of an Academy Award, the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award and the Kate Greenaway Medal. His most recent book is the graphic novel Hometown.”

  • Come along for a fantastic evening of art, music, drinks and canapés in our gorgeous Gallery. Check out the incredible artworks on display and maybe even purchase an item for yourself.

 

Family Fair Day Wristbands: Sunday 30 August

  • Get your wristbands for the Family Fair Day!
  •  ArtZone only wristbands are $15 each
  • Do-it-All wristbands (ArtZone and rides) are $35 each

 

Volunteering 

Planning is in full swing, however we are still requiring some key roles to be filled ASAP.

 

Paella Maestro

  • Do you have the skills to organise and cook paella for a crowd? 
  • We have the equipment, we just need someone who can advise on ingredients, handle preparation, and coordinate the cooking and selling on the Sunday. 
  • There will be lots of volunteers to help you!

Preserves Makers

  • Love to cook? Make a batch (or three) of something delicious for the preserves stall.

Donate 

We are now collecting donations. Please leave the following items on the hallway table near the main school office.

 

ArtZone

White A4 paper, paper straws, white string (e.g. cooking twine), medium to large glass or clear plastic jars with labels removed, leaves (variety of colours to make confetti).

Preserves

300 – 400g jars (think Bonne Maman jam jars, small goats cheese jars, or small passata / cordial jars). Empty, rinsed and labels removed if you can manage it.

Soft drinks

Grab a carton next time you shop. All soft drink appreciated!

 

Toys

Soft toys / dolls / figurines that are looking for a new kid to love them. Whether it's a plush animal, a transformer or Barbie, we'd love to help find them a new home. Preferably less than 40cm tall.
