June School Council Report

It has been another busy and productive month for School Council, with plenty of exciting plans taking shape for the second half of the year. Council was pleased to approve the 2026 ART FOR ALL proposal, with our much-loved annual fundraiser returning in a familiar format while introducing some thoughtful improvements. The popular Makers Market will be expanded, and a new approach to volunteer recruitment aims to make it easier for more families to get involved. 

Council also approved the Year 5 camp to Anglesea Discovery Camp, and members enjoyed providing feedback on a refreshed school vision that will guide the next stage of consultation with staff. 

The Building and Grounds subcommittee reported that projects are progressing well, with new drink taps, additional planting, a buddy bench and the exciting schoolyard redevelopment all moving ahead. 

The Policy subcommittee reviewed the Attendance Policy and the Hire and Licence of Facilities Policy.

Paul, Nicole and Grace provided an update to the school's Annual Implementation Plan progress, celebrating positive developments in wellbeing, literacy and numeracy, including the continued rollout of positive classroom routines, strengthened literacy teaching practices and increased support for student inclusion.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our school through volunteering, fundraising and community involvement – it is wonderful to see so many people contributing to making our school an even better place for our students.
