Years F - 2

Over the past couple of weeks, we have been revisiting place value in Maths, exploring different concepts around numbers and developing our understanding of the value and worth of each digit. We have also been learning about money, with activities adjusted to provide an appropriate level of challenge for our Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 students.

In Literacy, we have been focusing on the plural suffix -s as part of our morphology learning. Next week, we will continue building on these skills as we explore plural -es.

In Art this week, we created beautiful symmetry butterflies. We painted one side of our butterfly before folding the paper over to transfer the paint onto the other side, creating a symmetrical design. The students loved seeing their colourful butterflies appear!

We have also been completing lots of group work and presentations to continue developing our collaborative skills and confidence when speaking in front of others. Everyone has been speaking confidently and enthusiastically sharing their ideas, which has been fantastic to see!
