Ballarat Wildlife Park:
We'd like to provide you with some details for our upcoming excursion to the Ballarat Wildlife Park, Friday 4th September.
Prep children are required at school earlier than normal. We ask that all Prep students are dropped off as per normal to line up at their classrooms at 7:40am. This is the time and place for you to say your goodbyes. We will be getting on the bus at 7:50am. Please do not wait to wave the bus off as this can be really upsetting for children for a number of reasons. The bus will leave school at 8:00am sharp. We will return at approx. 3pm. A message will be sent via Compass when we depart the Ballarat Wildlife Park to confirm an estimated arrival time back at school.
Please only pack the following (labelled) in your child's school backpack:
- lunchbox with snack and lunch
- water bottle
All children must wear school uniform, comfortable walking shoes and bring their jumper- Ballarat is colder than here!
There are to be no toys or spending money, and reader bags are not required. All individual medications and first aid is packed and supplied from the office at school. Please let your child’s teacher know if your child gets bus/car sickness or has been car sick in the past.
Thank you to those who offered their time to support this excursion. We now have enough volunteers. There will be more opportunities to volunteer in the future.
Book Week Dress Up Day:
Next week is Book Week, and we will be celebrating with a special Dress-Up Day on Friday, 28th August. Students are invited to dress up as a character from their favourite story or book. We will hold a Book Week Parade in the Hub at 9:00am, and families are warmly welcome to stay and watch the parade. We look forward to seeing all the wonderful characters!
Be Awesome Day:
Friday 30th October will be our annual ‘Be Awesome Day’! This year, our awesome kids will be running a ‘Show Day’ as part of our celebrations and we welcome you to join in the fun!
In order for our day to be very awesome and super fun, we will need lots of help from our wonderful parent community.
The Preps are running three stalls: Guess the jelly beans, lucky sticks and face painting.
We require the following donations:
Early next term we will ask for parent volunteers, please keep an eye out.
