New Semester/Subject changes

This week students started their semester 2 subjects. This is a great opportunity for students to have a fresh start with subject content and in some cases new teachers and environment.

All students have been asked to familiarise themselves with their new timetables for Semester 2.

If changes to their electives are needed to be made, they have been asked to complete the following:

  1. Book an appointment with the Year 10 team via the Google Doc link (on SEQTA DM) sent out by Matt Nield.

  2. Students will receive a blue pass in Form Group on the day of their appointment.

  3. Students need to attend their appointment (NO changes will be made if student’s miss/don’t attend their appointment).

  4. Students will receive a form stating their subject changes.

  5. Students are to take this form home and have a parent/guardian sign it.

  6. Students bring the signed form back to the Year 10 Office.

Please be mindful that while we are doing our best to accommodate all requested subject changes that some classes are already full, therefore some changes cannot be made. Students need to be making changes for the right reasons, not due to friendship groups.

The last day for subject changes is Friday 17th July (Friday before Camps in week 2).

Careers Expo

On Tuesday this week our Yr 10 students attended the Careers Expo out at Longrenong College. This was a great opportunity for students to explore a range of different career pathways. We hope our students made the most of this day, by sparking curiosity and asking many questions to learn more about their options.

Reports Released

On Friday after school this week Reports will be released to students and families. Please take the time to read and reflect on your results. With the change of Semester, there will be a change in a number of subjects. This means students have an opportunity to work with new Staff and students within their classes. We encourage students to start fresh, set some goals moving into the remainder of Semester 2 after the break and start the term with a positive mindset.

Have a fantastic Break!

We hope all of our Yr 10 students and families have a safe and restful break and everyone comes back recharged for the second half of 2026!
