Year 7 News
SRC Representatives
We were finally able to present our Year 7 SRC representatives with their badges. We are very lucky to have Adele Meyer, Lara Mackley and Grace Smith as our Year 7 Representatives.
Locker Clean Out
As the end of term approaches, we ask that Year 7 students please clean out their lockers and make sure they don’t have any food left over in their lockers over the holidays. The mice love to make the Year 7 lockers their home over the holidays.
Semester 2
Semester 2 started this week, with some changes to some subjects for our students. This changeover is an exciting opportunity for students to experience some different subjects to broaden their experiences here at school. With this changeover, students’ timetables will change slightly, with new teachers, classrooms and times. All students will be given a hard copy of their timetable to put in their diaries to assist them with organisation and getting to classes on time with the correct equipment.
Reports
Students’ semester reports and term interim reports will be released soon. Students and parents are encouraged to review these reports together to celebrate the achievements in particular subjects and to look for areas of improvement moving forward into the second half of the year. Any queries about reporting, please reach out to the classroom teacher of that subject.
Absences
As winter hits the number of absences due to illness has begun to increase. We would like to thank all parents who have promptly notified the school of an absence, it makes our job so much easier. A reminder, absences can be recorded by contacting the absence hotline - 53 817 200, via SEQTA engage or by direct messaging your child’s form group teacher.
Wet Weather
As winter begins to set in, we would like to remind parents and carers of our wet weather procedures at school. If it is raining, students are welcome to come inside during recess and lunch. However, if students choose to stay outside in the rain and become drenched, families may be contacted to either collect their child or bring a spare change of uniform.
