Saving a Cicada :

I don’t think this was intended for daylight eyes, but what a magnificent transformation. The exoskeleton had dried up and was stuck to the Cicada's wing. We used a few tiny drops of water to help loosen the attachment, and our new friend was free. The children were amazed at how many different colours they could see on the cicada. #cicada #teachoutsidethebox #nature #nzcreatures #bushschool
