What an amazing term we've had! We've seen great participation from the community in all of our programs. From our growing sewing sessions to the consistent success of the swimming sessions and English classes and growing playgroups; there's been a positive buzz around the hub.
We also had a fantastic Father’s Day celebration, with a fun Footy night hosted by Roxburgh Park Football Club. Thank you to all the families who have attended and made the event even more special.
Our Learn to Swim for Women program continues to be a big success, empowering participants with confidence in the water. We are looking forward to continuing this successful program in term 4.
A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers and staff for their hard work and dedication—none of this would be possible without you!
We wish you all a safe and joyful holiday! See you back in term 4.
One of the biggest highlights this term was our sewing class's participation in making capes for Capes 4 Kids Australia Inc.
Capes 4 Kid Australia Inc. is an amazing program that gifts carefully crafted capes to children in hospitals to wear whilst they undergo treatments and procedures. The unique cape design is sewn by volunteers - in this case, our sewing group. Our ladies have produced some amazing capes with a brilliant choice of bright and colourful fabrics which will surely put some beautiful smiles on young heroes' faces and give them superpowers to help them fight their illnesses.
Dallas Neighbourhood House is looking for some dedicated volunteers.
Volunteering is great way to gain experience, skills and language and increase your chances of entering the workforce.
