A Special Visit from URSTRONG

Recently, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Dana, the founder of URSTRONG, to our school for a very special visit. It was a day filled with connection, celebration, and a shared commitment to building strong, healthy friendships across our school community.

During her time with us, Dana spent time in classrooms, connected with students, and captured interviews with both staff and students about the impact of the Friendology program. These conversations highlighted the incredible work happening every day in our classrooms, as students continue to develop a strong, shared language around friendships.

Following her visit, Dana shared some very kind words about her experience:

“Every school has a ‘vibe’ and yours is warm, loving, & happy.”

She spoke about how impressed she was with our students, noting:

“I really loved meeting the kids and could tell they were ‘fluent’ in our language of friendship.”

Dana also recognised the consistent and intentional work of our staff, sharing:

“From the activities & displays on the walls, to the way the teachers interact with the students, it was very clear to me you place relationships at the heart of everything you do.”

We are incredibly proud of this feedback, as building positive relationships is a core part of who we are as a school. Dana described our school as:

“a shining example of a school that’s getting it right!!!”

We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to showcase our school and the incredible work of our students and staff. Experiences like this affirm the importance of prioritising wellbeing, relationships, and student voice in everything we do.
