Welcome back to Term 4.
Our afterschool program continues this Term. It has been refined this term to support staffing, so we will be running the very popular Volleyball Club on a Tuesday night and cooking club on a Wednesday night and tennis on a Thursday night. All sessions take place from 3:20pm - 4:20pm, except for tennis which finishes at 4:00pm (3:30pm - 4:00pm. We still have some spots in the programs, so please see Ms. Sandlant or Ms. Smith to sign up.
Last term we celebrated WCC connection week with a sporting community expo in conjunction with our Parent/ Student /Teacher Conferences. I would like to thank those involved for their support on creating such a successful event!
Our families had the opportunity to participate in the various sports and learn about what some of the organisations in our local community have to offer.
Thanks to Werribee Football Club, Reclink, Dane Nebal Tennis Academy, the Skate Studio and Werribee City Football Club who all held practical activities for our families to enjoy.
A special thanks to Werribee Football Club for supplying some very generous prizes of football jumpers and AFL footballs.
I hope families were able to visit the Wyndham City Council Library Van, whose theme for the night were sports orientated books, or maybe even signed up to our Wyndham Libraries.
I would also like to thank: Teams for All, Wyndham Netball Association, In Balance Fitness, Werribee Gymnastics, Stepnout Performance Academy, and our very own Wellbeing Team for their “Are you OK ?” tables and information.
If you would like a flyer on any of these organisations please reach out and I can send it through.
We had some wonderful Cultural Dance Performances. Thanks goes to Nathanial and Paw Ner Moo, our multicultural family support workers for their work with this and the other events on the night.
And a huge thanks to our parent helpers for supporting the second-hand clothes shop.
Thank you to Werribee Rotary and Vic Police who helped run our BBQ for the night and Junubi for supplying the delicious African Food.
Lastly, I would also like to acknowledge our wonderful student helpers:
Morrisham Teariki, Glennen Brown, Raquel Grey, Noah Finocchiaro, Payton Campbell, Rhyse McIntosh, Josh Klaassens.
We are very thankful for all the support on and the opportunities this event provided our families!
