Student Voice &

Positive Environment

The Student Representative Council (SRC) and the school house captains met with the Principal, Ms Gagatsis at the end of term 3 to update her on their progress and to discuss future plans they have and the resources they require. From this meeting, our College captains and vice captains have some ideas for a year 12 garden space outside the front of the Monash building as their legacy to the College.

The SRC continues to meet fortnightly and ensure that students voices from across the College are being heard. A further opportunity for our SRC leaders in years 10 and 11 has been the opportunity to participate in the Wyndham Student Representative Committee forums. The last session was on Thursday 19th October where the students who attended presented their ideas and thinking on their school based projects. The final session where the students will present the outcomes of their projects will be occurring on Thursday the 16th of November. It will be great to see them present and also what the other schools participating have been able to achieve.

Planning is already underway for next year, with 'Ylead Student Leadership' again being asked to run a day of leadership training for all student leaders of the College next year. There are always lots of ideas and actions that come from our students on this day.
