Book Study - The Arrival by Shaun Tan

Year 4 has recently completed studying our class novel, The Arrival, by Australian author and illustrator Shaun Tan.

This powerful wordless novel uses evocative illustrations to depict the journey of an immigrant leaving his homeland in search of freedom and a better life. The students were deeply immersed in the story and images, drawing on their inferencing skills to interpret the narrative and understand the emotions, challenges, and experiences portrayed throughout the book.
