Wellbeing

It was great to see our students return from Term 1 holidays, and Term 2 is well underway. Our wellbeing team members have been working closely with students across a range of programs and individual supports.  Students requiring support from Wellbeing are encouraged to access our Wellbeing Centre under the theatre or speak with their Year Level leaders.   Families are welcome to contact us directly through Reception.

Our Year 9 students participated in the Big Sister Experience and Man Cave programs recently. Big Sister supports to equip young girls with the tools to support each other and themselves through the challenges of adolescence and beyond. The Man Cave’s Student Workshops are a series of whole-day experiences that encourage participants to explore the concept of masculinity and to build healthier relationships with themselves and those around them.

Breakfast Club has been popular this term, with some of these cold mornings G Block has been a warm and welcoming place to start the day.  This is open to all students on Monday and Wednesday mornings starting at 8.00am.

Banyule Council are offering parents a free online Mental Health information session on Monday 25 May to help understand the early warning signs of mental health challenges and learn practical and supportive ways to help.
