Principal's Report

ANZAC Service
The College held its annual ANZAC service on Thursday 24 April at 10am. Thank you to all of the students who participated in the service – Master of Ceremonies, readers, musicians, wreath layers and chair carriers. We had a large number of parents and guests attend however due to industrial action local politicians were not invited. Special thanks to Helen Spanos and Ally Kalafildis who worked with the students to put the service together.

Generations in Jazz
Approximately 15 and 2 staff attended the Generations in Jazz competition at Mt Gambier on Friday 1 May until Sunday 3 May. This is one of the biggest school’s music competitions in the Southern hemisphere. The students had a wonderful time and received some great feedback regarding their performances. Thank you to Ms Bodenham for organising the tour and to the students and staff that attended.
Parent teacher Student Conferences (PTSC)
We are seeking feedback regarding the PTSC that we ran during the last week of term 1. In particular whether the organisational structure provided parents and students with suitable opportunities to meet with their teachers:
- Face to face: 5pm until 7pm
- Online: 10am until 6pm
I will be taking leave for all of semester 2 2026 and as such the Department of Education will appoint an Acting Principal in my absence. At this stage I do not know who this is however will ensure that a smooth and thorough transition occurs.
