Our new Nine-finity program has been off to a great start with Year 9 students gaining real-world experience in planning and running events, and participating in community service.

At the end of Term One, students worked in groups to run lunchtime fundraisers in our IMPACT centre to raise money to help them organise their own market in Term Three.

The event was a huge success, with groups running staff car washes, photo booths, henna art stations, staff pie-ing competitions, raffles, lolly jar and target throw competitions, and bake stalls. The students were very successful, altogether raising $725 which they will use to organise a larger community market at the end of Term Three.

Thank you for the wider school community of prep to 12 students and staff for contributing to such a successful afternoon.

Roshana Macleod Aged Care Community Service

This term, students have been focusing on developing their personal and professional skills in real contexts by participating in community service at Roshana Aged Care Home. Students will be visiting the nursing home in small groups across this term to have conversations with the elderly residents and build relationships with our community. This has been a very enriching experience so far.

Towards the end of this term, small groups of students will also work with our early years primary school classes to support them in the classroom and build relationships with their younger peers. This will surely be rewarding experience for all involved.
