Aspects Art Show

Aspects Art Show is an annual event that runs in conjunction with the Goondiwindi Show each May. With an impressive range of artworks by artists local to Goondiwindi, as well as other towns, cities and regional areas around Queensland and interstate, Aspects Art Show holds a reputation as an exceptional regional art show that has provided a platform to many emerging artists for achieving great heights. It attracts many high calibre artists each year and provides an avenue for exposure through friendly competition and recognition of the skills and talents of all of the artists who enter.

A previous winner in various sections of the Aspects Art Show in 2025, Year 12 Visual Art student, Alastair Malghem was again recognised this year for his skilful ceramics and stone carving through being awarded prizes across a number of sections.

Alastair received 1st Prize in the Youth 3D section for his glazed ceramic guitar, “Strings for Santos”; 2nd Prize in the Youth 3D section for his carved soapstone sculpture, “Spirals in Stone” and 3rd Prize in the Contemporary Youth Section for his ceramic vase, “Tentacles of Life”.
