Year 12 Unit 3 reports will be released this week. This Report Card can be accessed via the Parent Orbit app (see instructions below) alongside any assessment completed and relevant feedback. Please use this opportunity to discuss your son’s progress to date and opportunities for improvement throughout Unit 4.

Academic Interviews for each Year 12 student will be held from Week 6 this term where discussion around your son’s performance and progress will occur. More information about booking these interviews will be emailed in the coming weeks.
Year 10 and 11 2026 Subject Information Night will occur on Tuesday 26 May. All students should attend this event with a parent/carer. More information will be provided to current Year 9 and 10 students and their parents in the coming weeks.
Our Year 10 students are currently working on the preliminary work for SET planning in their careers ASH lessons. I encourage parents/carers of our Year 10 students to engage in conversation with your young men, to assist their forward planning. The subject selection evening mentioned above will contribute to this process, but we encourage students and families to start investigating future pathways and what may need to happen to allow them to get there. Communication regarding the SET planning process will be released to Year 10 parents shortly.
With a collection of Year 12 summative exams occurring in Term 2, we have planned an Exam Day on Thursday 18 June. On this day, Year 12s will be granted Study Leave for the day when not attending their Maths exam – subject to the usual exam block procedures and protocols. No Year 12 classes will occur on Thursday 18 June.
The exam schedule for Year 12 in Term 2 will be:
Specialist Maths – Monday 22 June (AM)
Year 12s will remain in normal classes (with the exception of Thursday 18 June), unless otherwise advised (e.g. Mother-Son lunch on afternoon of 22 June).
Further details on the timing of the Maths exams on the Thursday 18 June to come.
Next week is the Year 11 Exam block | Week 5 - Tuesday 19 May to Friday 22 May 2026
Year 11 students will be granted study leave during this time (to study at home and only come to campus for scheduled assessments). Any Year 11 student not up to date with all required assessment items will not be granted study leave and must remain at school. This includes meeting checkpoints for modules in Certificate and Diploma courses.
Expectations during the exam block are as follows:
As per the College Assessment Policy (and QCAA guidelines), if your son is unable to attend an exam you will need to provide a medical certificate. Please do not arrange holidays during this time.
Students will be able to locate their Exam Schedule in their Student Café under School Links > Assessment Information.
Parents and Carers will be able to locate student’s Exam Schedules in their Parent Orbit
App and Parent Lounge
Assessment Activities have now been released outlining the dates of all summative assessments your sons will have throughout the term. Parents and students are encouraged to review this schedule so our boys can manage their time effectively, plan their study routines, and approach assessments with confidence.
Boys will be able to locate their Assessment Activities in their Student Café under My Activities > Curricular.
Your son is encouraged to view this schedule and transfer assessment dates to his College Diary and any home planners.
Parents can access the Assessment Activities via the Parent Orbit App and Parent Lounge.
For students in Years 7-10, please remember that assessments during Exam Block, will be scheduled at some point across that week. The exact timing of these exams will be released in the Exam Block Schedule (approx. Week 6), however, please know that it will fall between Friday 12 June and Thursday 18 June.
Students are encouraged to create a study and homework schedule each week, so this time is managed effectively.
Years 7 to 9 will have a renewed focus on the school diary.
Parents are asked to support this process by reviewing your son’s diary. ASH teachers will be checking the diary weekly and parents to ask to support their son in filling out the diary daily.
Boys who require a new diary are asked to collect one from student services.
Tutoring support will take place in the Senior Library and is open to all boys in Years 7 to 12.

Please find here a list of Old Boys who are available to tutor your son outside of school hours. This list can also be located on the Parent Portal > School Links > General Links or
Please note it is the parent’s responsibility to organise and liaise tutoring times with the Old Boys.
