Pathways at LESC
Helping every student discover their strengths and shape their future.
As part of the guidance we often give to students, I recently took my own advice and hit the main street of Lakes Entrance to connect face-to-face with our local business community.
My goal was simple: to explore meaningful opportunities for our students to participate in Structured Work Placement (SWL) and work experience placements. The response from our community was nothing short of outstanding. Almost every business I spoke with was enthusiastic about giving our students 'a go' and investing in the next generation.
It was a powerful reminder that our students are not just learners in classrooms, they are the future employees of our local organisations. Work experience and SWL placements play a vital role in building confidence, developing employability skills and helping students to make informed decisions about their futures.
We are incredibly fortunate to be part of a community that believes in young people and is willing to support them as they take their first steps into the world of work. I look forward to continuing to strengthen these partnerships and creating valuable opportunities for our students.
